2018 Jeep® Wrangler First Look

The next-generation 2018 Jeep® Wrangler has been the stuff of rumor and speculation for a few years now, so its official reveal at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show ahead of your Los Angeles area Jeep dealership was welcome news. Ahead of its arrival at Shaver Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM & FIAT, here are some official specs thanks to the staff at Road and Track.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler looks much like the 2017 model it replaces, but some things about those looks are new. It’s a bigger SUV all around but manages to look smaller thanks to some clever design work. Aside from the familiar drain plugs, the inside looks much different too. It’s more luxurious and quieter than before.

That quiet is helped along by new suspension that improves ride quality and reduces noise. Even though it’s better mannered on-road, it’s still a force to be reckoned with off it.

The trims and many powertrain options are carry-overs. However, there’s a new six-speed manual transmission and a new diesel option will be available around this time next year (with a hybrid model to follow for 2020).

Among the many new features include a backup camera, body-color roll bars, simplified deployment for the soft-top roof and the fold-down windshield, and new grab bars that are less obstructive than before. We also like the larger windows.

And have we mentioned the forthcoming Jeep Wrangler pickup? These are great times to be a new Jeep SUV shopper. It’s also a great time to visit your Thousand Oaks Jeep dealership for more information on specs and pre-ordering. Shaver Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM & FIAT is located at 3888 East Thousand Oaks in Thousand Oaks, CA, and we look forward to seeing you!
